Homeschool Support Program

Our mission statement

We are dedicated to a continuing tradition of excellence in an ever-changing world. In partnership with families and the community, our goal is to create relevant learning opportunities for students both inside and outside their learning environment that helps them develop the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and character necessary to succeed in academic study and a technologically advanced world. We honor achievement and promote Métis pride in ourselves, in our school, and in our community.

How does the HSP work?

The LRI Homeschool Support Program is flexible and individualised to meet the needs of your family. Each child is unique and we strive to tailor our support to each child's interests and needs as a co-creation between the students, parents, and teachers.

Two Options to Choose From

Homeschool Support Program

This program is for students who are being homeschooled by their parent or guardian. Our program offers one-on-one sessions with one of our Homeschool Support Teachers to provide parents and guardians with extra support for their homeschooling endeavors.

Tutoring Support Program

This program is for students who are in class and doing remote or hybrid/casual learning. We can connect you with a Tutor and provide you with the loan of a laptop.

Apply for the Homeschool Support Program

  1. Fill out the application (see options below).
  2. Your application will be reviewed, and you will be contacted by your assigned teacher.
  3. The HSP teacher will create a program plan for each student that links together academic learning, community engagement and experiential learning. The teacher will then work with you to schedule sessions for your student. This plan will then be shared with the team (parents, students, teachers for consistency.)
  4. The HSP Director will be in regular communication with the team to check on progress and support where needed.
  5. Meet the homeschooling requirements for the Provincial government.
